Just a quick note before I head back to feed Emily again. Thank you all so much for all the good vibes, prayers, hopes, thoughts, encouragements, congratulations, and anything else you've sent our way over the past week or so. It has certainly been a time we'll never forget! I'll admit, I haven't had a chance to read all the e-mail that has collected, and I have no idea when I might be able to do so, but Sean has read me a few things and they are truly wonderful! We are really lucky to have such fabulous friends and family!
If you haven't already heard, we went home from the hospital on Saturday and have been having a fine time adjusting to life as a family. Emily has been an angel, and at least so far only seems to cry when we change her diaper. She even sleeps through the night (except when I wake her to feed her, which is usually done quietly enough for Sean to continue sleeping). Wally has been very good with Emily, though he looks at us confusedly a lot and always wants to sniff her. Alpha has mostly stayed away (which is fine with us).
